Story for nephews ...

Hello my blog! They say that the first post is sometimes more difficult to write than the others. Maybe it is right, maybe it's not. But I will not take that into consideration because I want to start my blog today. :) What I've been doing lately here in Spain? Well...I will tell you about the mini holiday that I had here in Madrid and in Barcelona with my sister that came here for 10 days. We didn't want to lose time and in the same day she got here we started to visit Madrid. I showed her Atocha, the big train station with the huge garden inside with palm trees and many many turtles. After that we saw Neptun´s statue where Atletico Madrid is coming when they are winning a game and after that we walked a bit until Km 0 in Plaza de Sol. Even if it was kind of late, the Plaza was very full with Spanish people and tourists. Even if I´m not a fan of getting up in the morning, we did it and we went the next day to ¨Museo Reina Sofia¨ where we saw pictures from the WW2, Picasso and Dali´s paintings, some very nice inventions and dead nature (there was a sunny flower exactly like the ones that I have home in the garden...and some fruits….who can understand them? :) ). The Retiro parc was peacefull as always and with random people that were doing yoga, running, chilling in the boats on the lake and so on. After the parc we saw ¨Puerta de Alcala¨, ¨Cibeles¨, where Real Madrid is coming when they are wining, ¨Banco de España¨ and we had a cold coffee in Starbucks (my lately favorites because they are always in a good mood). We decided to go to Barcelona for 4 days and after 8 hours spent in the bus during the night, we searched for accommodationl and started our study tour in the city. Every day we were on the ¨Barceloneta¨ beach for some hours and I took there some very nice baths in the cold water. :P What amazed me very much was the fact that after each minute I could see another plane coming in the sky and another one departing from Barcelona´s airport. My favorite was the red one. :) Sis wanted to try a new and traditional dish and ¨paella con mariscos¨ (rice with sea little animals) was the option for the lunch because it is one of my favorites. The waiters are always nice and trying to say something nice in your language. Oh…and if you don´t specify very clear that you want 1 dish for 2 persons (because sometimes it is more than enough), they are bringing double and you see that in the bill when it is too late. There like in Madrid also there are a lot of black people that are selling fake glasses, fake purses, fans and so on and after some minutes you see them running with the huge bags because police is coming. :) We decided to take for one day the touristic bus because in Barcelona are a lot of places to see and we didn´t had that much time. It was nice, but after some hours spent on the roof of the bus I felt like my head will explode because the sun. We saw just from outside ¨Casa Batllo¨(designed by Gaudi), ¨Parc Arguell¨, and by inside ¨Sagrada Familia¨(designed by Gaudi also), ¨FCBarcelona Stadium¨(the big shop, museum, cloakroom where the boys are taking showers :P, the press room and the big stadium), ¨Museo Nacional d´art Catalunya¨, ¨Montjuic Parc¨(a huge parc in the west of Barcelona that has a lot of touristic places to see), ¨El Poble Español¨ (Spanish village) that was situated in the M. Parc, a closed area where you can see houses from a lot of places in Spain, little shops with hand made things live, restaurants and terraces and guide that is explaining you the history of each street and house, ¨M. Castel¨near the mountain and the sea. In the last day, after we visited a bit (and we were supposed to take the bus at 12 in the night), we went to the beach again but in the afternoon this time. It was a bit cloudy and windy (you don´t see this weather that often in Spain), but there was people around and some in the water. Because I was a little bit bored I decided to take a last bath in the sea. After some minutes I saw my sis waving to me and shouting for me to go out of the water. First I thought that I was going too far in the water, but after that I saw her speaking with some people and I started to be worried. Guess what I found when I reached her? …..A rubber took her bag with our both wallets….yeah…with money and all our personal documents and some other things. The thing is that it was a lil bit dark and there were not that many people there….but the thing is that she didn´t saw anything…she wanted to take something from the bag, but the bag was not there anymore. And this happened with just some minutes ago. No one saw anything like always and the rubber disappeared. The bad part was that my sis had ALL her documents there, credit cards and I lost some money, the keys from here and personal documents also (identity card, student card, credit card etc.). The good part was that the bus tickets were not in the bag and neither my phone….´cause if that would have happened we would have slept on the beach. :) After 8 hours ¨slept¨ in the bus, we went by foot until home in Madrid for 2 hours in the morning just with the metro map, ´cause we lost the streets one and we didn´t had money for the tickets, and after that we went to the police to declare the lost things and to the Romanian consulate to take a paper because my sis need it for the plane back home. It was funny ´cause the typical old man from the police didn´t believe us 100% when we said that we lost the bag on the beach at 10 in the night in another city and we stood for 4 hours at the consulate for a simple paper in the same Romanian atmosphere with people shouting, not respecting the order, gypsies screaming that they want the paper no matter what and the lady from there explaining that it is not possible and after that gypsies receiving calls that they had to be at the embassy and not to the consulate, another ones asking if you want CDs with Romanian music aka manele and so on. The positive part was that we received the paper in the end and now my sis is back home. The funny part is that she has one more week for holidays and she has to do the documents again and she will have to go by maxi taxi each day because she lost the driving license also (she is using the car for everthing). And thanks God I still have the passport, ´cause if not, bye bye IC for me and I have to do the identity card again and keep the fingers crossed for me in order for the teachers to receive me to the exams in September without the student card (in general they are not allowing). This was the kind of situation that showed me that the books that I read about ¨positive thinking¨ and the conversations that I had with Ema about this topic were worthy! Thank you for that! ;) We slept all afternoon after all that and yesterday we saw ¨Plaza Mayor¨, the Regal Palace and the garden, and the Prado Museum. All these on 41 degrees. :) Starting with today and until Wednesday we have preparation for IC and Wednesday in the night I´m leaving with Angel (the MCP) to Sao Paolo and the others have the plane in the next morning. We will have a study tour in Rio before the conference and on 18th starts the GNs pre-meetings. The conference is between 21st and 31st of August and after the conference ends we will visit a bit Sao Paolo. I will be back on Madrid on the 2nd and after that I am going home in Galati for taking my last exams and see my family and my friends that I didn’t saw for 2 months. I don’t know how much internet connection I will have there and we will take with us just one laptop. If I will have the possibility, I will keep you updated with what I am doing there. Mmmm….nice to share with you all these. :) I am going now ´cause the lunch is ready. Smile and wave. :) PS1: Happy birthday to my sis for yesterday! PS2: You can see the photos on Facebook.
